Who We Are
The Acorn & Oak Team
Mental Health Clinicians
Licensed social workers and mental health counselors who work to assist people by listening actively, identifying contributing factors, singling out strengths, developing supports, promoting insight, enhancing psychological flexibility, sharing science-based research and psychoeducation, and providing practical tools. Our mission is to help clients find lasting solutions, resolve complex issues, develop self-understanding and change undesired behavior.
Targeted Case Managers
Our compassionate and competent Case Managers are powerful allies to have in complicated systems. They coordinate comprehensive assessments of strengths and needs and team with clients and families to produce an individualized service plan to target needs. They facilitate, advocate for, develop and link clients to supports, services, and resources identified in the plan, and in an ongoing partnership, they help clients and families evaluate what is working and what isn’t using the vision of the client and family as a guide.
Behavioral Health Professionals
Trained, certified paraprofessionals who provide direct care in support of children and families who are faced with challenges related to a child’s mental and behavioral health. A BHP may work in the school, home, or in a community setting. Our BHPs work closely with our clinicians to implement the client’s individualized treatment plan using evidence-based practices like Triple P.
Business Operations Staff
Our business operations staff do a number of essential agency tasks including scheduling, managing technology, insuring government compliance, coordinating human resources, records, medical coding and billing, transportation services, and other functions that are required for us to operate and deliver services.
